Good Luck Team Boulders – BMC Youth Climbing Series Welsh Final

18 climbers representing Team Boulders will be competing in the BMC Youth Climbing Series Welsh Final tomorrow and we wish them all the very best of luck!

The BMC Youth Climbing Series is a popular and fun competition for young climbers of all abilities. The competition features bouldering and top roping (ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13) and leading (ages 14-15 & 16-17). Qualification for the Welsh Final has been dependent on the results from rounds 1 and 2.

The Welsh Final is just one of the regional finals happening throughout the country tomorrow and will be taking place at the Beacon Climbing Wall in Caernarfon. The Top 3 climbers from each category will qualify for the UK National final, which will take place in Edinburgh International Climbing Arena on June 15th – an exciting yet nerve wracking prospect for both the climbers, as well as the parents of those competing!

We will be posting Tweets and Facebook updates throughout the day’s events to keep you all up-to-date. Send us a Tweet @BouldersUK and use the hashtag #BRYCS.

After all of the excitement of the competition, Rob and Tym will be taking the Boulders climbing team outdoor climbing on Sunday – we look forward to hearing about where and what climbing they get up to, as well as lots of photos!

We are extremely proud that so many of our climbing talent will be representing Boulders at the Welsh Final – we have everything crossed that they bring the trophy back for South Wales!
