The Crucible bouldering comp – Summer 2013 Round 3 scores

The results for the third round of The Crucible are in! Click here to check them out and see how well you did.

Thank you to everyone who came along to take part in the third round of The Crucible bouldering competition summer series. We aim to make each round bigger and better than ever before – did you like the problems? Let us know which ones were too easy or too hard by leaving us a comment below. The problems will stay up for a month, so if you need any beta, check out a couple of videos of Boulders’ route setter extraordinaire Anthony testing out white 15 and black 2 on the Boulders YouTube channel.

Round 4 will kick off on 10th August, which will be the final round of the summer series before the grand final in September.

The aim of The Crucible is to test Cardiff’s bouldering community, but also to be fun and provide a great reason for us all to meet up and climb together. Competitors of all ages and abilities are welcome to compete – whether you’re a V14 climbing beast, or new to the sport, each round is designed with you in mind. The categories are: adult male, adult female, junior male and junior female. Each round will run for nine days, so you have plenty of opportunity to come and try the boulder problems. We hope to see you there!

The Grand Final is planned for 7th September and to qualify you’ll have to take part in a minimum of two rounds. Vouchers from the Boulders online shop are up for grabs and the prizes aren’t limited to just the strongest climbers, as there will be recognition of improvement through the rounds, as well as fun random spot prizes.
