You can now sign up for a membership online by clicking here. You will need to sign up for a standard adult membership when you first sign up, even if you are eligible for a concession price (student, U18, military, etc).

Then the first time you come into the centre, you can show your concession I.D. and we will adjust the price accordingly, before the first payment is taken.

You will need to come into the centre to adjust the price within 14 days of signing up online.

Q. Why do I have to pay a sign up fee?
A. Our sign up fee is in place to cover the admin costs of setting you up as a member. We do not have a minimum term contract, or charge for cancellation of membership, so all this is taken into account in the initial charge.

Q. I haven’t been using Boulders much recently, can I have a refund?
A. Unfortunately we don’t offer refunds on membership. There is no minimum contract so you’re free to cancel your membership whenever you want.

Q. How do I cancel my membership?
A. You are in control of your membership and can cancel it whenever you like, without a cancellation fee. To cancel your membership, all you have to do is cancel your direct debit with your bank and send an email to GOLD@bouldersuk.com confirming that you are cancelling your membership. As you are in control of your own membership, it is up to you to confirm with the bank that your direct debit has been properly cancelled.

Q. I used to be a member and would like to sign up again; do I still have to pay the sign up fee?
A. Yes, every new membership is subject to our sign up fee as we do not charge for cancellations or have a minimum term contract.

Q. Can I suspend my membership or put it on hold for a month?
A. Unfortunately you are not able to pause, suspend, or freeze your membership. You will need to cancel your membership and sign up again at a later date.

Q. Can I pay my direct debit from a foreign bank account?
A. Unfortunately we can only take payments from UK bank accounts.

Q. Part of the centre is closed today, do I get a refund or reduction?
A. As we are committed to providing great routes and to building our climbing community we sometimes close areas for maintenance, route setting, events or competitions, the price of your membership has taken into account that this happens periodically as a part of Boulders’ operation. We always try to make sure you are informed of this in advance.

Q. What happens if I miss one of my Direct Debit payments?

A. There may be a fee for missing a Direct Debit payment or if your Direct Debit fails. This fee could be from your bank, our bank, or our collection provider (Harlands) so try to make sure that your Direct Debit will always go through without an issue!

Q. What happens if I book onto a free course but can’t attend?

A. If you need to cancel your place for any reason, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance of the first session to rearrange. Please be aware that even though this course is free with your membership, if you fail to attend the course without giving us 48 hours notice, you will be charged for the full amount of the course.
