Learning need not take place solely in the classroom! As physical, social and mental benefits of climbing are becoming more and more widely known, why not bring your class to Boulders to experience them first hand?

For those teachers looking for a weekly session where pupils can grow and develop their climbing skills, we can run structured climbing sessions designed to meet your needs! We can tie-in with your school activities syllabus, run weekly sessions where we begin to teach the knowledge and skills required for belaying and climbing, or start the group on the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) level 1.

For those choosing the NICAS for their school activities, the pupils will work through their own personal logbook which is great for tracking their progress and giving them a sense of achievement on completing various skills.

NICAS Level 1 covers the fundamentals of climbing safely independently whilst under supervision, including:

  • Knots used in climbing, belaying and basic rope skills

  • Climbers calls and communication with your partners

  • Using the shared space of the climbing centre safely

  • Understanding how to use a harness, karabiners and other basic climbing equipment

From £45ph for 8 children

We estimate that NICAS Level 1 will take around 6 hours to complete, but this depends on the
group/individual.

Please note that these prices are based on our climber-to-instructor ratio of 1:8, which ensures all climbers have the best experience. Any changes to your group size need to be booked at least 7 days in advance to guarantee instructor availability.
