Organisations and Schools

We are passionate about introducing more young people to this incredible activity and breaking down barriers. There are no limits to who can take part – we've embraced autistic climbers, blind climbers, deaf climbers, and many others who might have thought climbing wasn’t for them!

During these hour long sessions, we maintain a flexible instructor-to-climber ratio, usually 1:6 or 1:8, based on the organization's preference. For those who require or prefer smaller ratios like 1:2 or 1:3, we can accommodate that too. The sessions begin with getting the group harnessed up and climbing on our beginner walls. The pace is set by the group's preferences – if everyone enjoys the beginner walls we can stick to those, or if they're eager to try more challenging walls, we can explore those too! These active and engaging sessions promise a fun introduction to the activity for everyone involved.

Wheelchair Users

Our hoist sessions provide an extraordinary opportunity for wheelchair users, as well as individuals who use crutches or walking frames, to experience the exhilaration of climbing. With the guidance of a Boulders instructor, climbers are safely harnessed in a seated position using a full-body harness and hoisted up the wall. Depending on their mobility, climbers can either be hoisted entirely up the wall or, with the instructor's support, they can grab onto the climbing holds and pull themselves up.

Please note that we have one hoist that can be operated with one person at a time, but we can always arrange for hoist sessions to run alongside a group that is climbing. At Boulders, we are committed to creating inclusive and accessible climbing experiences for all, and our hoist sessions offer a unique and thrilling opportunity to individuals with different mobility needs.
